Community Supports Direct Support Professional
Qualification, Education, and Experience:
High School Diploma ( or equivalent ) required. Experience includes possessing a heart ready to serve and be able to take direction, competence in problem solving skills. This position provides direct care to supported individuals assisting with their personal needs and with activities of daily living. This opportunity reports directly to the director of the department in which employment is based. This position requires the ability to adequately communicate with recipients, recipient’s family, other staff members and supervisor(s). Simple record keeping will be used to best serve the individuals we support.
Community Supports DSP:
By becoming a member of the LLM team, you may work with participants in a number of capacities that include helping find employment, joining clubs or groups, improving daily living skills, teaching self-advocacy skills, reach exercise goals, participate in volunteer work, assist residents in their homes, etc. Not only do we believe each individual in our program is deserving of the opportunity to reach their potential, we apply the same philosophy to the members of the Lords Legacy team. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions are available.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
A personal vehicle with valid driver's license and auto insurance, strong communication skills, leadership/management experience preferred. Regulated trainings and ongoing training required to further competency in the field. (CPR/ First Aid, Phase I & II Training, Medication and Seizure Training (When applicable).
