Residential Direct Support Professionals
Qualification, Education, and Experience:
High School Diploma ( or equivalent ) required. Experience includes possessing a heart ready to serve and be able to take direction, competence in problem solving skills. This position provides direct care to supported individuals assisting with their personal needs and with activities of daily living. This opportunity reports directly to the director of the department in which employment is based. This position requires the ability to adequately communicate with recipients, recipient’s family, other staff members and supervisor(s). Simple record keeping will be used to best serve the individuals we support.
Residential Supports are designed to serve participants who have transitioned from their homes to live independently with one or two housemates. LLM DSP’s are privileged with providing intensive support that includes bathing, medication administration, cooking, and minimal cleaning. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions are available.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
A personal vehicle with valid driver's license and auto insurance, strong communication skills, leadership/management experience preferred. Regulated trainings and ongoing training required to further competency in the field. (CPR/ First Aid, Phase I & II Training, Medication and Seizure Training (When applicable).
